Formulated disinfection use
Properly formulated aqueous isopropyl-alcohol solutions—commonly 60–90% by volume—are used for antiseptic and small-surface disinfection applications. Effectiveness depends on concentration, required wet contact time, the target organism, surface compatibility and product directions.
The supplied 99.98% bulk IPA is a raw material and is not represented as a ready-to-use hospital disinfectant. Healthcare facilities should use appropriately approved or labelled products and follow their infection-control procedures.
